21 cars registered for WEC testing at Paul Ricard

Paul Ricard will host the official tests of the WEC avant le début de la saison effectué le 14 avril à Silverstone. 21 voitures enchaîneront les tours sur le circuit du Castellet exploité dans sa configuration complète avec un tracé de 5,7km. Audi et Toyota ont préféré réaliser des essais privés, le constructeur aux anneaux étant resté en Floride après sa récente victoire aux 12 Heures de Sebring pour se préparer à la première épreuve en Grande-Bretagne.

Rebellion Racing and Strakka Racing will therefore be the only teams competing in LMP1 present on the Castellet circuit. The Swiss team will field its Lola B12/60 Coupé-Toyota with Nicolas Cheers, Neel Jani and Nick Heidfeld, while the British team will work on their HPD ARX-03c driven by Danny Watts, Nick Leventis and Jonny Kane. The LMP2 category will be almost complete with nine cars present.

Aston Martin n’amènera que ses Vantage V8 alignées en GTE Am après avoir disputé les 12 Heures de Sebring avec les GTE Pro. AF Corse n’a pas encore annoncé les pilotes qui travailleront sur la F458 Italia n°71. Le Team Manthey ne manquera pas l’opportunité d’apporter la nouvelle Porsche 911 RSR avec Jorg Bergmeister, Patrick Pilet et Timo Bernhard.
