24 hours: Bourdais, the fastest in the warm-up

Sébastien Bourdais set the best warm-up time at the wheel of the #908 Peugeot 9. The Frenchman is ahead of pole sitter Benoît Tréluyer, driver of the No. 18 Audi R2 TDI.

24 hours: Bourdais, the fastest in the warm-up

Audi was at the top of the timesheets throughout the warm-up session, but Sébastien Bourdais snatched the best time in his last flying lap. The pilot of the Peugeot 908 n°9 completed the lap of the Le Mans circuit in 3 and relegated the first Audi R27 TDI to 228.

But the German manufacturer was on a good pace this morning since its two other prototypes are lurking behind, with Audi n°1 and R18 n°3 respectively third (+1??569) and fourth (+2?? 389). The second Peugeot is the 908 n°8 (+2??480) which precedes the n°7 (+2??884). Oreca places its 908 HDI FAP in seventh position (+6??104).

Signatech achieved the best LMP2 time with its No. 03 Oreca 26, completing the lap of the Sarthe circuit in 3, ahead of the No. 43 Zytek Nissan of Greaves Motorsport by 449.

In GTE Pro, the Ferrari 458 Italia n°51 from AF Corse set the best time in the category with a time of 4:00:161. The Italian is ahead of the two BMWs with in order the No. 56 (+ 0??226) and the No. 55 (+ 1??174). The GTE Am was dominated by the #430 Krohn Racing Ferrari F7 and the?Aston Martin Gulf n°60 which both have the same time (4:05??036).

The #458 AF Corse Ferrari 71 Italia did not finish the session, as did the #68 Ford GT from Robertson Racing and the #430 Ferrari F62 from CRS Racing.

This session was the last session before the departure of the 79th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans which will take place at 15 p.m.
