Hypercar: Buemi the fastest at night

Après avoir signé le meilleur temps des Essais Qualificatifs un peu plus tôt dans la journée, l’équipe Toyota Gazoo Racing a poursuivi sa domination en réalisant le meilleur temps lors des Essais libres 2. C’est la GR010 Hybrid N°8 (Buemi/Nakajima/Hartley) qui s’est montrée la plus rapide. A l’issue des deux heures effectuées de nuit, le Suisse a signé la meilleure performance en 3’29’’351. Il a devancé ses équipiers de la N°7 (Conway/Kobayashi/Lopez) and the Glickenhaus No. 708 in (Derani/Mailleux/Pla). L'Alpine came in 4th position ahead of the other Glickenhaus No. 709 from (Briscoe/Dumas/Westbrook) who again brought up the rear in this category.

LM P2: Jota still at the top

In LM P2, the Jota No. 38 (Gonzalez/Felix Da Costa/Davidson) confirmed its best time of the afternoon in 3'32''390. The English team is ahead of the No. 70 Realteam Racing car (Garcia/Duval/Nato) and the No. 22 of United Autosports USA (Hanson/Scherer/Albuquerque). Ben Hanley, for his part, crashed into the wall when braking in Indianapolis with his No. 07 DragonSpeed ​​Oreca 21.

GTE Pro : Porsche prend les devants

Beaten earlier today by Ferrari, the Zuffenhausen brand took advantage of the night to dominate this session. The 911 RSR of WeatherTech Racing (McNeil/Vanthoor/Bamber) won in 3'49''018 ahead of that of the Porsche GT Team (Bruni/Lietz/Makowiecki). The category was marked by the puncture of the Ferrari No. 52 (Serra who was at the wheel/Molina/Rigon).

GTE Am: Dempsey-Proton Racing confirms

Dominant during the day, the No. 88 Porsche of Dempsey-Proton Racing (Andlauer/Bastien/Arnold) was once again the fastest in 3'51''452.
