24 Hours of Le Mans – Two new packages and a last minute guest

In accordance with what we revealed a few days ago, Carlin will not be taking part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans next September 19 and 20. The British team - supposed to field a Dallara P217 for Ben Barnicoat-Jack Manchester - has withdrawn, having already skipped the first three rounds of theELMS.

But the British team is not the only one to have thrown in the towel, since Kessel Racing, supposed to exploit a Ferrari 488 GTE Evo in GTE Am, is no longer on the latest entry list either.

But there should still be 22 GTE Ams on track on Wednesday for the first tests. Indeed, Iron Lynx proposed to the ACO to replace the British team, by registering a third Ferrari 488 GTE Evo, alongside the No. 60 of Claudio Schiavoni-Sergio Pianezzola-Paolo Ruberti and the No. 83 entrusted to a 100% female trio associating Rahel Frey with Manuela Gostner and Michelle Gatting.

A last-minute invitee, the Ferrari in question will sport the No. 75 and will see Rino Mastronardi, Matteo Cressoni and Andrea Piccini take turns.

This brings the contingent of entrants in LM P23 to 2 and that of GTE Am to 22. But the most impressive thing is the number of cars that will be run by the AF Corse team, namely 13, one in LM P2 (Dallara n°47 of Cetilar Racing) two in GTE Pro and 10 in GTE Am, where the Amato Ferrari entity is hidden behind Spirit of Race, Iron Lynx, Luzich Racing, Red River Sport and MR Racing.
