After a lively start to the race, the Toyota N°8 is gradually regaining stability. Hit by Glickenhaus No. 708 during the first braking and falling back in the ranking, the crew's mount Buemi-Hartley-Nakajima is back in the mix since she moved up to 2nd place behind her sister, No. 8. At the end of the second hour of racing, she was 40 seconds behind.

Alpine for its part seems to manage its race despite the 1'15 lead of the Toyota N°8 driven by Mike conway and the spin of Nicolas lapierre during the first race. The French team, lacking hybrid technology, even managed to stay on pace with the GR010s since the three cars passed through the pits twice after 120 minutes of racing. It remains to be seen whether the A480 of the A arrow will be able to keep up the pace in the hours to come. Glickenhaus for his part suffered the blow after a start where his two 007s were put in difficulty. The No. 708 is 9th overall, 2 seconds behind the No. 56, while the No. 8 is in 709th place, almost a lap behind the leader.

In LMP2, the JOTA No. 38 remains comfortably in the lead. With António Félix da Costa at the wheel, the Oreca 07 has a good margin of lead since the G-Drive N°26 is 27 seconds behind after two hours of racing followed by the N°29 of Racing Team Nederland.

It was in GTE Pro that these 24 Hours got off to a flying start. The battle between Ferrari, Corvettes and Porsche at his best. If the Americans were in the lead for a time, it is the Italians who are currently leading the way. Indeed, the 488 No. 51 and No. 52 from AF Corse monopolize the first two places with less than a tenth of a difference while the 911 No. 79 is 13 seconds behind in 3rd place.

In GTE Am, the No. 83 AF Corse Ferrari had to give up the lead to make its third refueling. As a result, theAston Martin No. 33 of TF Sport finds itself in the lead but should soon get back behind the trans caralpine.
