While we were looking forward to a relatively calm hour of racing, Mother Nature decided to spice things up on the track. As expected according to Météo France forecasts, the rain reappeared around 21:30 p.m., trapping many competitors throughout the circuit.
The first victim, although collateral, was Sophia Flörsch driving the No. 07 Oreca 1 for Richard Mille Racing. Surprised by a losing Franco Colapinto (G-Drive No. 26), the German found herself stopped in the middle of the track and was hit by the Oreca 07 No. 74 of Racing Team India Eurasia. Despite several attempts, she was unable to leave, thus marking the end of her double clock tour as well as that of her team.

United Autosports also witnessed rain damage as two of its cars (No. 23 and No. 32) made contact in the Dunlop chicane.

En ce qui concerne le classement général, Toyota reste aisément en tête avec la N°7, pilotée par José Maria Lopez, en avance d’un peu plus de 22 secondes sur sa soeur, la N°8. Alpine is in 3rd place at 2'30 after 6 hours of racing.
In LMP2, it was the No. 41 of Team WRT which ended this 6th hour in the lead, unfortunately a new routine stop forced it to hand over the keys to the category to the No. 22 of United Autosports. In GTE Pro, the Ferrari N°51 continues its merry way in front of the other AF Corse mount, N°52. In GTE Am, theAston Martin No. 33 continues a second hour at the controls but has to go through his garage for another refueling. He should logically move back in the hierarchy.
