24 Hours of Le Mans – The final entry list published

After confirming the first 42 competitors invited to participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2019 a few weeks ago, theAutomobile Club de l'Ouest has just revealed who would be the last 14 lucky ones, the four guests of the Asian Le Mans Series having been known since last Sunday.

As expected, no changes to note in LM P1, the Ginettas logically not having been selected. In LM P2, 17 cars will be scrapped, namely five Ligiers, ten Oreca and two Dallara. No team will be able to count on two cars, since even United Autosports will only be able to count on one JS P217, the second being a substitute.

Il y aura autant d’autos en GTE Pro, les quatre Porsche et les quatre Ford officielles ayant été acceptées, tout comme la 488 du Risi Competizione, qui verra se relayer, entre autres, Stéphane Ortelli et Pierre Kaffer. In GTE Am, the surprise comes from the selection of the No. 488 Ferrari 83 GTE from Kessel Racing entrusted to a 100% female trio Frey-Gostner-Gatting and the No. 488 55 GTE from Spirit of Race from Cameron-Scott. In total, 18 cars are entered in this category.

Alongside the disappointments, not to say misunderstandings, we can only deplore the absence on the list of the Duqueine Engineering Oreca 07 – first reserve – at the wheel of which we expected a first-class crew.

Same for High Class Racing, faithful competitor ofELMS and already failed last year, and who is second on the list of 10 substitutes on which also appear, in order: United Autosports (LM P2), Eurasia Motorsport (LM P2), Panis Barthez Compétition (LM P2), IDEC Sport (LM P2), EbiMotors (GTE Am) and Team Project 1 (GTE Am).
