24 Hours of Le Mans – Felix Rosenqvist will start with DragonSpeed

As we explain to you in issue 2109 of AUTOhebdo, Felix rosenqvist was finally chosen by the American structure DragonSpeed to compete in the Le Mans double clock race.

The Swede will make his first start in Sarthe, and will add a new line to his already extensive CV, between his successes in the European Championship and in Macau in F3, its commitment to the Blancpain GT Series last year with AKKA-ASP and its program with Mahindra in Formula e.

“Run to 24 Hours of Le Mans has always been a dream for me, says Rosenqvist. It’s one of the most famous races in the world, and driving a prototype on this particular track will be something very, very special.

I competed in my first 24-hour race at Spa last year and it was a truly remarkable experience, so I can't wait to experience what Le Mans, the most prestigious of them all, is like. I look forward to working with DragonSpeed to try to achieve a good result, and I would like to thank them for giving me this opportunity. »

DragonSpeed will make its debut at Le Mans with the trio Ben Hanley, Henrik Hedman and Felix Rosenqvist, who could show their advantage with the Oreca 07 according to Elton Julian, boss of the team.

“For this very special occasion, it has been extremely important to build a team that we believe can be at the forefront,” says Julian. Felix's established speed will be absolutely crucial and will be an ideal addition to our well-established tandem with Henrik and Ben. »
