24 Hours of Le Mans – JMW Motorsport partners with WeatherTech

Winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans in the GTE Am category last year with the trio Dries Vanthoor – Will Stevens – Robert Smith, JMW Motorsport will put its title back on the line this year in Sarthe, under new colors and with a renewed trio.

The traditional yellow and black livery of the Ferrari 488 GTE will give way to a white dress displaying the WeatherTech logo, in connection with the alliance made with WeatherTech Racing, a structure present in IMSA in the GTD category with Team Corsa and a Ferrari 488 GT3.

Next June, Liam Griffin, regular driver of JMW Motorsport in ELMS, will make common cause with Cooper MacNeil and Jeff Segal, regular drivers of Scuderia Corsa in IMSA or even at Le Mans. The last one mentioned was the victory in GTE Am for Giacomo Mattioli's team in 2016.

“I’m really looking forward to coming back to Le Mans, admits Segal. I have very good memories there. I got a podium on my first attempt and a victory on the second. It was great to be part of WeatherTech Racing's entry last year and help the team get on the podium (third place for the Ferrari 488 GTE – Scuderia Corsa/WeatherTech in GTE Am).

I am delighted to be with the victorious JMW team in 2017 and to return to a Ferrari. I'm excited to see what it brings this year. »

JMW Motorsport also stood out during the first round of the ELMS at Paul-Ricard in GTE with the trio Miguel Molina – Alex McDowall – Liam Griffin.
