24 Hours of Le Mans – Marcel Fässler and Jordan Taylor with Corvette Racing

Entered in the GTLM category in IMSA, the stable Corvette racing will strengthen its two GTE Pro crews in preparation for the 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 17-18), with Jordan Taylor and Marcel Fassler.

Taylor, well ahead of the IMSA championship with his brother Ricky after four successes in four races contested in 2017, will drive the No. 7 Corvette C63.R with the pair Antonio Garcia – Jan Magnussen.

Marcel Fässler, former pillar of the LM P1 Audi Sport program, and entered this year in the Blancpain GT Series with Team WRT, will drive the No. 64 with the tandem Tommy Milner – Oliver Gavin.

Two reinforcements far from being unknown in Doug Fehan's clan since Jordan Taylor had given Corvette victory in the Sarthe in 2015 with Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner and has been playing with the brand at Le Mans since 2012.

For Marcel Fässler, already seen in IMSA at Daytona and Sebring in recent years (with a victory in both races in 2016) with the same Gavin and Milner, it will be a return to the double round of the clock with Corvette, since the Swiss had evolved on the C6.R in 2009 with Olivier Beretta and Oliver Gavin.

I feel like I have unfinished business with Corvette Racing at Le Mans. We were leading at the end of the race in 2009 until we retired. So I want to sign this victory with Corvette Racing.

Racing in GTE Pro will be a new challenge. There are many great cars and drivers in this category. It would be a good result for Olly, Tommy and our team. »

Jordan Taylor and Marcel Fässler will test with Corvette Racing this week at Road America in Wisconsin.
