35 cars registered for the 6 Hours of Spa

The 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, a dress rehearsal before the 24 Hours of Le Mans, saw the entry list rise to 35 cars. Audi will be present with three R18s but Toyota will arrive with the 2013 version of its TS030.

35 cars registered for the 6 Hours of Spa

35 cars are registered for the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps held on May 4, one month before the Test Day of the 24 Hours of Le MansIncluding the list has also been revealed. After a double at Silverstone, Audi will be present with three R18 e-tron quattros, the No. 3 being entrusted to Lucas di Grassi, Marc Gené and Oliver Jarvis. Toyota intends to respond by testing for the first time in racing conditions the 2013 version of the TS030 which will be installed on the n°7 of Nicolas lapierre, Alex Wurz and Kazuki Nakajima. Rebellion Racing will be present with its two Lola B12/60 Coupe-Toyotas while Strakka Racing will look to gain some traction on its HPD ARX-03c after retiring early during the first event.

The LMP2 category will be the largest with 11 cars at the start. If the KCMG team will not be present with its Morgan-Nissan which took sixth place in the category at Silverstone, Gulf Racing Middle East will make its start to the season in the Belgian Ardennes with its Lola B12/80 Coupé-Nissan which will be piloted by Frédéric Fatien, Fabien Giroix and Keiko Ihara. Jota will also be present with his Zytek Z11SN-Nissan driven by Simon Dolan and Oliver Turvey. Christophe Bouchut will give way to James Rossiter in the No. 128 Lotus T31.

The GTE Pro will be contested by seven cars, Aston Martin entering a third Vantage V8. The crews of the British manufacturer, winner of the category at Silvertsone, will therefore be modified since Bruno Senna will move to the No. 98 alongside Frédéric Makowiecki and Rob Bell. The former pilot Williams F1 Team will be replaced on the No. 97 by the Scot Peter Dumbreck. Paul Dalla Lana, Pedro Lamy and Richie Stanaway will share the wheel of the #99. AF Corsica and Porsche Team Manthey will keep the same crews as at Silverstone. In GTE Am, the only change with the first event will be at AF Corse which will field a third Ferrari 458 Italia with the No. 54 entrusted to the hands of Yannick Mallegol, Jean-Marc Bachelier and Howard Blank, bringing the number of cars entered in the category to nine.
