After more than an hour and a half of interruption, due to the exit of the track Miroslav Konopka (ARC Bratislava) then the flood on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, the second round of the season of WEC was finally restarted with 3h35 remaining on the official clock. The abandonment of the Toyota n°8 and the numerous pit stops allowed the n°31 of Team WRT to find itself in the lead when the green flag returned, with 3h28 remaining.

While Robin Frijns immediately regained his ease at the head of the race, Mike conway (Toyota) erased Andre Negro (Alpine) at the first corner to take the lead in the Hypercar category and second overall. Behind them is Glickenhaus No. 708 in which Pipo Derani replaced Olivier Pla in fifth position. The No. 23 United Autosports driven by Alexander Lynn unleashed on this wet track and the sister car, driven by Filipe Albuquerque, completed the LM P2 podium.

AF Corse n°52 (Miguel Molina, Antonio Fuoco) continues to lead in LMGTE Pro, chased by the Porsche n°92 by Michael Christensen and Kevin Estre as well. In LMGTE Am, the #46 of Team Project 1 (Matteo Cairoli, Mikkel Pedersen, Nicolas Leutwiler) took the lead after Francesco Castellacci went off the track at the wheel of the #54 AF Corse.

The race is under Full Course Yellow following the outing in the gravel by Matthieu Lahaye (Ultimate) and the teams are taking advantage of this to stop.
