Alpine validates your LMDh project

Do you know why the Alpine never take off their blue dress? When General de Gaulle asked Jean Rédélé: “ What is motorsport for? » during the Paris Motor Show in 1968, the creator of the brand replied: “ To help France win, my General! ". It is this symbolism which, since then, has stuck to the skin of Dieppe racing cars, whose first appearances at the 24 Hours of Le Mans date from 1963. In order to realize this classic Le Mans dream, who better placed than a man whose performances over the past ten years in Sarthe have only brought him ever closer to his Holy Grail? Frankly it disturbs me, between now and Le Mans 2023, 21 months ago, and they really don't have time between now and then to finalize the car? From Oreca and Renault (since the engine is made in Viry, let's hope that this does not impact F1, especially when we see that Ferrari and Honda are already putting elements of their F1 engine on track for 2022!). questions me about the means used to bring this matter to a successful conclusion. It is certain that absolutely wanting more, to be present in 22 and therefore 23 with no better than an LMP2 will not help to concentrate their forces on the project.

Super awesome, plus they already have a 24-hour winning driver in the house! but to miss the centenary year (2023) what a huge disappointment. As for being competitive at Le Mans with an LMDh against LMH Hybrids (and therefore 4 RM when accelerating) we will have to pray that the race takes place completely without a drop of rain.
