Audi on the front line in Austin

André Lotterer and Marcel Fässler took pole at the 6 Hours of the Circuit of the Americas in Austin (Texas) at the wheel of the No. 7 Audi, delivering the manufacturer's third consecutive qualifying victory at the Rings, with an average time of 1 '45''842. The German brand, which dominated every practice session, even locked the front row with the No. 8 of Oliver Jarvis and Lucas di Grassi which ranked one tenth from the benchmark.

Sam Bird and Davide Rigon failed 42 thousandths from the category benchmark. Olivier Pla and Stefan Mücke completed the leading trio in the No. 66 Ford GT. Paul Dalla-Lana and Pedro Lamy also took pole in GTE Am with an average time of 2’07”683.
