Buemi and Davidson to conclude in Bahrain?

Depuis le début de la saison, la Toyota TS040 Hybrid n°8 de Anthony Davidson et Sébastien Buemi is the car to beat in the World ChampionshipEndurance WEC. The duo remains on two clear victories at Fuji in Japan and Shanghai in China, and can kill the suspense next weekend in the Drivers' standings on the Sakhir track in Bahrain for the penultimate round of the season.

“The last two races were perfect, explains the Swiss Buemi. We have a good pace and we want to continue this for the last two races of the season. We must continue the momentum of Fuji and Shanghai: stay focused and prepare in the best way. Our car has been great throughout the season and I am optimistic. It's very exciting to be leading the World Championship so close to the end and the goal at the start of the year was to win both titles. I will give everything to achieve this. »

Anthony Davidson prefers to be wise, aware that anything can happen on the track. “It’s really important to stay calm this weekend. Let's not take any chances and just finish the job. This might mean that we are not going to give everything for victory, but we have to look at the bigger picture. The team has done a good job this season, and I know everyone is now fully focused on getting the points we need this weekend. »

As for the Manufacturers' championship, Audi remains in ambush 29 points behind Toyota, which could widen a definitive gap in Bahrain, before the season finale in Brazil on November 30.
