Limited public capacity for the 24 Hours of Le Mans

Next 24 Hours of Le Mans (September 19-20) see their organization adapt to the Covid-19 period. The Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO) announced this Tuesday, June 30, the temporary suspension of ticketing. To date, only spectators who have already reserved their tickets are guaranteed to attend the Sarthe event.

This measure was taken inexpectation of a positive evolution of the epidemic and a possible relaxation of the rules concerning events bringing together a large audience. However, Pierre Fillon, President of the ACO and organizer of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, does not hide the fact that this 2020 edition will take place with a reduced audience compared to previous years (252 spectators in 000).

“We finally ask all our fans and regular spectators for their understanding and kindness. In this unprecedented context, we will probably not be able to welcome everyone on the circuit this year. We are doing everything we can, while respecting the health measures necessary to protect everyone, to offer a quality event. »

Professionals and volunteers, necessary for the successful running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, will be able to travel to Sarthe next September. Furthermore, all members of the ACO, spectators or approved intermediaries holding reservations already paid for stands, hospitality facilities known as “ACO Members Area”, reception areas or car parks will be able to complete these reservations with the purchase of tickets for General Entrances. For any request on this subject, please contact ACO customer service by email (serviceclients@lemans.org).
