What the introduction of green fuel entails in WEC in 2022

In the battle of reducing the carbon footprint, it appears clear that theEndurance took a step ahead of the Formula 1, which nevertheless strives to be at the forefront on environmental issues. This Friday, on the sidelines of 24 hours of Le Mans, the ACO and its partner TotalEnergies have indeed announced that the cars present in the World Endurance Championship (WEC), In ELMS and in the Michelin Le Mans Cup will run from 2022 exclusively using green fuel. Supplied by TotalEnergies, this fuel will indeed reduce emissions by more than 60%.
