Collard and Tinseau will ride Pescarolo

Henri Pescarolo, for the rebirth of his team, chose stability and continuity. In addition to the 2010 Pecarolo (which never ran), the record holder for participations in 24 Hours of Le Mans enlisted two pilots he knows well. Known behind the scenes for some time, their names were revealed this Thursday: Emmanuel Collard and Christophe Tinseau.

In addition to this crew that looks like a sure bet, Henri Pescarolo has therefore chosen a car that he knows well and that he wants to put on the track. The “Pescarolo 2010” will be equipped with the 10 liter V5,5 Judd accompanied by the regulatory flanges. A file has also been submitted to the ACO for the entry of an LMP1 in the 24 2011 Hours of Le Mans.

“We chose to seize the opportunity offered to us by the ACO to keep the V10 Judd for another year”, explains the four-time winner of the Sarthe double clock tower. The Pescarolo-Judd in 2010 version having never raced in LMP1, has still not demonstrated its potential. We are convinced that it will be very competitive in 2011.”

“The choice of a top crew demonstrates our ambitions: to win the Le Mans Series championship, and to position ourselves at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where we have so often featured: at the forefront,” He continues.

For their part, the drivers trusted Henri Pescarolo to take on the challenge of reviving the green-colored team. “I'm really happy to be riding a prototype again and especially to be reunited with Henri?s entire team, whom I've known for so long. Participating in the development of an LMP1 with Claude Galopin is always an exciting experience,” declares Manu Collard.

Christophe Tinseau, loyal to Henri Pescarolo for several seasons, is also very happy with this outcome. ?It?s a return that I hoped for and that I looked forward to. I am also delighted to join the team with which I have obtained so many good results. Sharing the seat of a Pescarolo-Judd with Manu Collard is an exciting project. »
