David Zollinger will replace Pla at Idec Sport Racing

If Olivier Pla was chosen by Idec Sport Racing to support Patrice and Paul Lafargue on the Ligier JSP217, the Toulouse native will be held back by his obligations with Chip Ganassi Racing at Silverstone (April 14 and 15) and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 17 and 18).

The French team therefore appointed David Zollinger to complete the crew for the two events, the 34-year-old Frenchman having great experience in prototypes as proven by his numerous titles in the VdeV Series.

“I have trained Paul several times as part of my coaching activities and for two years, Patrice has supported my training center. I have a smaller program but it's lucky to have Olivier with us, commented David Zollinger after the private tests carried out at Motorland Aragon (Spain). The 24 Hours of Le Mans are the highlight of the season. We will prepare as best as possible. The new Ligier is magnificent and more efficient than the old one, I think we will have a lot of fun. We'll have to see what happens in the race. »

Idec Sport Racing will participate in the Prologue of theELMS on March 29 in Monza (Italy). The Lafargue structure finished 10th in the Team rankings last year with Dimitri Enjalbert.
