DC Racing will evolve with Jota Sport

Jackie Chan DC Racing will carry out a new project in 2017. After narrowly losing the Asian title Le Mans Series, the Chinese structure will join forces this season with Jota Sport which will field two Oreca 07s in the LMP2 category of the WEC.

David Cheng and Ho-Pin Tung will be the two leading drivers on the No. 37 and No. 38 after having played together last year on a Alpine A450b. The other drivers must be confirmed, but Ho Pin Tung should evolve with Will Stevens and Thomas Laurent.

“The knowledge acquired last year in the WEC and the magnificent results obtained in the Asian Le Mans Series combined with the experience of Jota Sport will give us a very powerful combination, commented David Cheng. We want to develop our Chinese team and ensure that they remain a force on the international endurance racing scene in the years to come. »

Jota Sport, for its part, announced that it would not defend its title in ELMS. The entry lists for the WEC, the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the ELMS will be revealed this Thursday, February 2 at 16 p.m. during the ACO press conference to follow live streaming on our site.
