Derani impressed by the hybrid system of the TS050 Hybrid

Revelation at the start of the year after winning the 24 Hours of Daytona then the 12 Hours of Sebring in quick succession at the wheel of the Ligier JS P2 of Tequila Patron ESM, Luis Philip Derani played the entire World ChampionshipEndurance with the American structure.

“It was a great opportunity to do this test with Toyota Gazoo Racing, indicated the native of Sao Paolo. I'm lucky because not many drivers are able to test an LM P1 car these days.

It was great for me to see how an LM P1 team works and to understand how the hybrid system works. At the end of the day, an LM P1 is not hugely different from the LM P2s I know.

The big difference is the incredible thrust offered by the hybrid system when exiting corners. It was a nice experience hitting the gas coming out of the first corner. You clearly feel the 1000 hp. »
