Ferrari retains its duos for 2018

Ferrari did not miss the opportunity to win the first world title awarded in GTE last year in WEC. The Italian brand and its armed wing AF Corse won in 2017 with the duo James Calado – Alessandro Pier Guidi, entered in the 488 GTE n°51.

A victorious association which will be renewed in 2018 in GTE Pro, just like the tandem of the n°71 Sam Bird – Davide Rigon. « This will be a very special edition of the WEC spread over two years and including two editions of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, admits Pier Guidi, mentioning the Super-Season.

Our goal, of course, is to retain the title, but we would also like to have at least one podium in the two races that will take place in France. »

The world champion tandem had no success last year in Sarthe, with an incident in the morning, while the No. 51 remained in contention for a good result. The last victory at Le Mans for a Ferrari in the GTE Pro category dates back to 2014 with the trio Vilander – Bruni – Fisichella.
