G-Drive Racing and Alpine were penalized after qualifying for the 6 Hours of the Nürburgring.

G-Drive and Alpine penalized at the Nürburgring

The No. 07 G-Drive Racing Oreca 26 of Rusinov-Thiriet-Hanley was penalized after qualifying for the 6 Hours of the Nürburgring where it had won pole in the category. The LMP2 of the Russian team which won pole in the category will have to start from the back of the grid due to wear of the pad exceeding the limit of 5mm authorized by the regulations. The G-Drive car will have to respect a stop & go of 3 minutes for the contact of Roman Rusinov at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

THEAlpine A470 n°35 from Ragues-negrao-Panciatici was also penalized after qualifying where she finished in 5th place in LMP2. The Signatech LMP2 will have to respect a 30s stop & go following an error by Nelson Panciatici which forced Kamui Kobayashi à passer dans l’herbe pour éviter un contact avec la Toyota TS050 Hybrid n°7.
