Gimmi Bruni: “A good highlight for Friday”

Gianmaria Bruni, what'else? The Italian driver, one of the best GT specialists, took pole position during the Hyperpole des 24 Hours of Le Mans, vendredi matin. Il a mené sa Porsche en 3’50’’874, un peu plus de deux dixièmes devant la Ferrari 488 n°51 n Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Daniel Serra.

Bruni took advantage of being able to go for a time without worrying about traffic, since only a maximum of 23 cars shared the track.

“I didn’t feel any particular stress, on the contrary. It was my first time driving on this fantastic circuit with so few cars on track. We just have to concentrate on the performance of the car and put in a good lap. I think it’s a good highlight for Friday.”

Porsche takes pole for its first on the Le Mans circuit with its new 911 RSR. “We are here with a new car to which we have done a lot of transformations in twenty-four hours. I believe we are on the right track now. This is the result of a lot of work by the mechanics, and the entire team, to sort and analyze the data. Between last night's session and this morning's session, then for the Hyperpole, we took a real collective step forward. »

Lagging behind during free practice, the Porsches showed that they will be present in the race as they have been since the start of the season.
