Goodyear exclusive manufacturer of LMP2 from 2020

The partnership between the ACO and Goodyear had already been confirmed for the LMP2 category of theELMS. As Like we announced it to you in issue 2241 of AUTOhebdo, the American firm will also supply the LMP2 tires in WEC over the 8 rounds of the 2020-2021 season. The partnership with the European championship will be launched in 2021.

Goodyear will take advantage of its presence to liven up the paddocks by launching a new range of tires for tourism from motorsport.

Goodyear's monopoly in LMP2 will mean the disappearance of Michelin from the second category of the WEC. The brand has already taken Dunlop's place for this season.
