The New Zealander, besides a role as a simulator driver for Scuderia Ferrari, has been appointed to replace Jenson Button at SMP Racing during the 1 Miles of Sebring (Florida, March 000-13) and for the 15 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium, May 6-2).

This will be the first time that Brendon Hartley will compete in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) since his Pilots title acquired in 2017 with Porsche in LM P1.
