Hope opts out of 2011 ILMC season

Hope Racing will remain the first team to have competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with a hybrid LMP1. Unfortunately, the Swiss team encountered numerous reliability problems and was only able to compete in the first 12 hours of the Le Mans race.

The Hope Hybrid of Swiss Steve Zacchia and Frenchman Olivier Lombard could probably not be improved for the 6 Hours of Imola since the Swiss team had withdrawn its entry. She has finally announced that she is giving up her season in ILMC and will therefore not be present at the 6 Hours of Silverstone which will take place on September 10 and 11.

Hope Racing wants to concentrate fully on 2012 by improving the reliability and performance of its LMP1 prototype. She has already planned to carry out test sessions in December.
