Imsa, to prepare for Le Mans' and Spa

The page of the 6 Hours of Le Castellet is turned, now it’s time for the test day of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This weekend, the whole team Imsa will travel to Sarthe to get his bearings on this very specific route before the 79th edition of the Le Mans classic. The Rouen team has only one goal, to bag a second category victory in this legendary race after that won in 2007.

“I’m happy to be back on the test day, admits Raymond Narac. It's a good way to get your bearings before the 24 Hours. It is also an opportunity to return to very high speeds. The competition will be tough in GTE-Pro but the 24 Hours of Le Mans are so specific. It is rarely the fastest car on a lap that wins, the result will depend on our strategy. »

The objective during this day will therefore obviously be to prepare for Le Mans, but also for the 1000 km of Spa, where the Imsa team will be keen to shine in order to immediately reposition itself as a candidate for the crown in Le Mans Series.

“The Castellet episode is part of the past, we have turned the page, declares team manager Franck Rava. La note est salée, mais les coques sont restées intactes tant sur la n°76 que sur la n°67. Nous nous servirons aussi de la journée test pour arriver fin prêts aux 1000 km de Spa, qui marqueront vraiment le début de notre saison Le Mans Series. Ce sera pour nous l?occasion de tester les nouvelles pièces Porsche et constater de visu le niveau de la concurrence avant Spa où les voitures de L?ILMC se joindront à celle des Le Mans Series. »

With a 997 Porsche 3 GT2011 RSR Evolution and a leading 100% French trio associating boss Raymond Narac with Porsche official driver Patrick Pilet and beginner Nicolas Armindo, all hopes are high for the Imsa Performance team, both at Le Mans and 'in LMS.
