Jackie Chan is preparing a film about the 24 Hours of Le Mans

A new film about 24 Hours of Le Mans is likely to be achieved. Bruno Roy, the director of the tourist office of the Sarthe town, indicated on France Bleu that actor-producer-director Jackie Chan had “a cinematographic project” on “the history and legend of the 24 Hours of Le Mans”.

This film, which should be filmed in spring 2018, would be produced by a Chinese team, with Jackie Chan financially supporting the project.

Jackie Chan saw his team of the same name, Jackie Chan DC Racing, come close to victory in the general classification of the 85th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Oreca 07 n°38 of Ho-Pin Tung, Thomas Laurent and Oliver Jarvis took second place with the LMP2 victory while the sister car driven by David Cheng, Tristan Gommendy and Alex Brundle completed the podium. The Chinese team has been competing in the Le Mans classic for two years.
