James Jakes confirmed at Manor

James Jakes will make his debut in Endurance by joining Manor which will enter two Oreca 05s in the LMP2 category of the WEC. The 28-year-old Briton cut his teeth in IndyCar playing four seasons with Dale Coyne Racing, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing and Schmidt Peterson Motorsports, but he also played for Manor, competing in the 2007 season of the F3 (5th) and the 2010 GP3 Series season (8th).

“I have known John (Booth, the Team Principal) for many years and was delighted to hear that we could work together again.”, commented the new recruit of the team. “I’ve been racing in the USA for the last four years, but it’s the icing on the cake to come back to Silverstone (Great Britain) where it all started. »

James Jakes thus joins Tor Graves and Will Stevens, even if the crews have not yet been formed.
