A little over two months after the departure of Kevin Magnussen, back in F1 at Haas, Peugeot Sport finally holds his successor. If it was once said that the manufacturer was going to look for a new driver, it ultimately decided to find the solution internally with James Rossiter.

So far pilot development and simulation in the project of the 9X8 from Peugeot Sport, James Rossiter is promoted for this season of WEC. The 38-year-old Englishman will therefore be there at Monza (July 10) when the French structure will make its debut in Hypercar with its 9X8.

As a reminder, James Rossiter will team up with Loïc duval, Jean-Éric Vergne, Mikkel Jensen, Paul di Resta and Gustavo Menezes while waiting for Peugeot to find the “real” replacement for Kevin Magnussen as was initially to be the case. However, it is not yet certain that the Briton will continue to finish the season in Fuji and Bahrain, although it is " a possibility " we learned from Peugeot in Portimão.
