The Audi n°8 victorious at Spa

The #18 Audi R8 of Jarvis-Di Grassi-Duval wins the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps by finishing two laps ahead of the Porsche 919 Hybrid n°2 from Dumas-Lieb-Jani suffered problems with its energy recovery system.

The winners took advantage of the numerous problems encountered by the competition, particularly among Toyota who was leading the race with less than two hours to go before the No. 050 TS5 Hybrid of Nakajima-Buemi-Davidson does not return to the pits following a mechanical breakdown.

Rebelllion Racing also took the opportunity to secure its second podium in a row with the No. 13 R-One of Tuscher-Kraihamer-Imperatori, preceding the No. 12 sister car of Heidfeld-Piquet Jr.Cheers. The #7 Audi of Tréluyer-Fässler-Lotterer completes the top five.

Alpine takes victory in LMP2 with the No. 460 A36 Stone-Menezes-Richelmi who finished just ahead of the Ligier JS P2 ESM of Derani-Dalziel-Cumming who took the advantage over the #05 Manor Racing Oreca 45 of Gonzalez-Albuquerque-Senna at the end of the race.

While Ferrari 488 GTE n°51 from Bruni-Calado was almost the entire race in the lead, it was the sister car n°71 from Rigon-Bird which took the victory in GTE Pro following a mechanical problem which occurred on the first car a few cables from the finish. The No. 67 Ford GT of Franchitti-Priaulx-Tincknell took second place ahead of theAston Martin Vantage #97 by Stanaway-Rees-Adam. The #98 Vantage of Dalla Lana-Lamy-Lauda dominated the GTE Am and logically won the category.
