The updated categorization list

It is indeed important to note that if the LM P1 and GTE-Pro categories, which take part in the World Championship?Endurance, are completely free in terms of the choice of drivers, the two lower categories are constrained. Four divisions of the latter exist, in order of importance: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

The regulations require in LM P2 crews, a so-called “amateur” driver, that is to say Bronze or Silver category. Let's take as an example the crew of the #2 Morgan LM P24 this season: Olivier Pla and Matthieu Lahaye (Platinum and Gold respectively) were associated with Jacques Nicolet (Silver). In GTE-Am, the situation is slightly different, here the crew can only have one “professional” driver. The No. 50 Larbre Competition Corvette perfectly illustrated the situation at Le Mans: Pedro Lamy (Platinum) was associated with Julien Canal and Patrick Bornhauser (Silver).

Let's note some developments in the list, with Soheil Ayari who goes from Platinum to Gold, Fabien Giroix, who regresses from Gold to Silver, just like Pierre Ragues. Luca Ordoñez is moving to the pros, going from Silver to Gold status.
