The list of reserve teams for the 24 2021 Hours of Le Mans

To the list of 62 entrants of the 89th edition of the Le Mans double clock tower (August 21-22), we must add those of the reserve teams. There are four in total, one in the LMP2 category and the other three in GTE Am.

These latter are “ authorized to compete in the event of withdrawal of another competitor, following the order established on the list ».

The No. 07 Algarve Pro Racing Oreca 27 is among the LMP2 reserves. The Portuguese team could possibly enter a third car at Le Mans with Mark Patterson, Naveen Rao and a third driver whose identity has not been revealed.

In GTE Am, theAston Martin Vantage AMR No. 59 from Garage 59 (Alexander West) and the Ferrari 488 GTE EVO No. 61 (Francesco Piovanetti) and No. 62 from AF Corse (Ulrich-Mann-Sirotkin) complete this list based on three criteria: sporting and technical quality of the competitor, interest for the public, fans and the media and competitor engagement and loyalty in the ACO Series.

The order established on the list is as follows: Ferrari 488 GTE EVO N°62, Oreca 07 N°27, Aston Martin Vantage AMR N°59 and Ferrari 488 GTE EVO N°61.
