The Rebellion R13 LM P1's first podium at the finish of the 6 2018 Hours of Spa, first round of the Super-Season of WEC will not last long.
Shortly after the finish, the prototype, third in the Belgian event with Neel Jani, André Lotterer and Bruno Senna, was excluded from the results for technical non-compliance, according to decision no. 44 of the panel of commissioners.
The flat bottom board of the LM P1 flying the Swiss flag displayed 1,2 mm below the measurement tolerance authorized by the regulation, leading to the exclusion of the car.
A decision which allows the other R13 n°3 of Thomas Laurent, Gustavo Menezes and Mathias Beche to reach the final podium at Spa. However, an appeal remains possible for Rebellion Racing.
