At 20, the Frenchwoman saw her young career accelerate exponentially. From his first victory in Portimão, during the last round of the seasonAlpine Europa Cup, on October 23, upon its discovery of an FIA world championship, less than five months will have passed. The Amianoise will be at the wheel of the Oreca 07 of the Richard Mille Racing Team at Sebring. Lilou Wadoux already knows the prototype having taken the wheel during the Rookie Test of WEC in Bahrain, November 7. At the time, she didn't imagine crossing the Rubicon so quickly. “ I don't think I have enough experience for such a program. That would burn me out, because I'm not ready. There are still a few steps to take. »

However, here she is now on the verge of taking the plunge. “ Many things have changed (from Bahrain. Editor’s note), the pilot told us. We realized that we could perhaps compete in LM P2 with good preparation to be at the level. We will ride a bit between now and the start of the season to allow me to be ready. »

« I am delighted that Richard Mille is giving me this opportunity, she adds. It's already huge to be racing in LM P2, but what's more, I'm not entering the unknown, because I already know the team a little. » For the moment, the young woman does not want to set unrealistic goals. “ We will discuss this with the team after testing. My goal is to learn. I'm going to have a lot of new things to assimilate, the world ofEndurance, the car, the team, etc. I want to learn my skills and we will talk about it at the end of the season. » With only six races on the calendar, Lilou Wadoux will not double her program. The rest of his year will be devoted to the BPJEPS (Professional Certificate in Youth, Popular Education and Sport).
