Le Mans – Positive lessons at Signatech-Alpine

On a track that was sometimes dry and sometimes wet last Sunday in Sarthe, most of the competitors in the 24 Hours of Le Mans entered during the Test Day, were able to test their mounts in various conditions. If at Signatech-Alpine, the entire planned program could not be accomplished, optimism remains in order.

« The lessons of this day are positive, believes Team Manager Philippe Sinault. L?Alpine A450b displays the same behavior as in 2014. It is very well balanced in the dry and in the wet. Vincent Capillaire was able to complete a few laps on slicks with good performance. The crew is very homogeneous. Seeing that we are in the mix, with a second time in LM P2, is encouraging. »

As for the drivers, more than the second time achieved behind the Ligier JS P2-HPD of Laurens Vanthoor and Chris Cumming, these are the data collected with the LM P2 prototype in different track conditions which emerge from this run. “We had a solid pace all day. Even if these performances are not significant, it is a good point. We recorded a lot of information depending on the conditions, even on slicks on a greasy track. » noted Nelson Panciatici, who will be accompanied next week by Vincent Capillaire and Paul-Loup Chatin.
