Le Mans – H+13: Stable situation at the head of the race

The 200 lap mark was reached shortly before the end of the 13th hour in Sarthe, where Porsche remains an undisputed leader of the 85th edition of 24 Hours of Le Mans. André Lotterer, who took over from Nick Tandy shortly before 3:20 a.m., continues the march forward of the no. 919 1 Hybrid, which is ten laps ahead of its closest pursuer.

If Vaillante Rebellion still monopolized the last two steps of the provisional podium a short time ago, a return to the box of the No. 07 Oreca 31 then driven by Nicolas Cheers, cast doubt, but the prototype entered under the Swiss banner quickly emerged and remains in the top 3 of the category, now dominated by the no. 13 of David Heinemeier-Hansson (Vaillante Rebellion), the no. 38 Jackie Chan DC Racing of Jarvis, the n°31 of Julien Canal and theAlpine A470 by Pierre Ragues.

Porsche and Ferrari try to maintain the suspense in the face of Aston Martin

Depending on the pit stops, the hierarchy evolves in GTE Pro. Alessandro Pier Guidi led with the #51 AF Corse Ferrari heading into the Italian GT's 13th pit lane return. Nicki Thiim, whose No. 95 Aston Martin was delayed by a puncture earlier in the race, regained the lead of the GTE Pro ahead of Darren Turner's sister car. Frédéric Makowiecki (Porsche n°91) is the best representative of the others, being clocked at 27″. His teammate Michael Christensen (Porsche n°92), however, made a mistake at the Chicaen Ford, causing a yellow flag and then a Slow Zone after the Karting to the seesaw in the fourteenth hour.

With a margin of one lap, JMW Motorsport maintains a solid lead in GTE Am, with the No. 488 Ferrari 84 of Vanthoor – Smith – Stevens.
