Toyota maintains control at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the #7 of Stéphane Sarrazin ahead of the #1 Porsche of André Lotterer.

Le Mans – H+5: the No. 7 Toyota keeps control

Stéphane Sarrazin takes the lead at the end of the 5th hour of the race at Le Mans. The Frenchman replaced Kamui Kobayashi driving the Toyota n°7, mais son avance tend à se réduire puisque André Lotterer est revenu à 35 secondes au volant de la Porsche n ° 1.

The No. 8 Toyota Kazuki Nakajima still completes the leading trio, one minute behind the sister car in first place. The No. 9 of Yuji Kunimoto remained 4th but the Japanese lost time due to a poorly closed door which required a stop. The #2 Porsche left the garage with 17 laps.

Vaillante Rebellion still dominates in LMP2

The Oreca 07s of Vaillante Rebellion remain in control of the LMP2. The No. 31 of Julien Canal took the advantage over the No. 13 of David Heinemeier-Hansson. The Jackie Chan DC Racing remains on the provisional podium in the category, but this time it is the no. 37 of David Cheng which occupies 3rd place, the no. 38 of Ho-Pin Tung having slipped to 6th place behind theAlpine #35 of Pierre Ragues and the #24 CEFC Manor TRS Racing of Jonathan Hirschi.

Aston Martin makes resistance in GTE Pro

The #97 Aston Martin of Jonathan Adam leads the GTE Pro. The Vantage even widened the gap on its pursuers since the No. 67 Ford GT of Luis Felipe Derani followed almost a minute behind. The No. 65 Corvette of Marcel Fässler completes the top three. Tony Kanaan took the wheel of the No. 68 Ford GT which is in 5th place between the Ferrari AF Corse by Alessandro Pier Guidi and Miguel Molina.

On the other hand, it is the abandonment for the Ferrari of Risi Competizione. Pierre Kaffer was hit by the No. 28 TDS Racing Oreca driven by Matthieu Vaxivière who closed the door while overtaking the F488 GTE which was in 8th place in the GTE Pro.

The Porsche 911 RSRs are behind in the category and are struggling to stay in the top ten in the category.

The #98 Aston Martin of Mathias Lauda has regained the lead in GTE Am and is now ahead of the #84 JMW Ferrari of Rob Smith.
