Le Mans – IDEC Sport withdraws its reserve Ligier

Very surprised to be only eighth reservist on the list of entries for the 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 16-17), the ARC Bratislava team quickly made its dissatisfaction known via social networks, while withdrawing its No. 217 Ligier JS P43 from the list of alternates for the 86th edition of the Le Mans classic.

Here it is today imitated by IDEC Sport, which had submitted two applications. If the French team saw its Ligier n°48 retained, the JS P217 n°27 on which Patrice Lafargue was registered was only the seventh and antepenultimate reserve. It was therefore decided to withdraw it as well.

« By concentrating its strengths and skills on a single car, the No. 2 LMP28, the IDEC SPORT team is giving itself the best chance of developing its performance to gain momentum and thus achieve sporting results that match the new ambitions of the team. this crew. » reported IDEC Sport. As a reminder, the JS P217 No. 28 will be entrusted to Paul Lafargue, Paul-Loup Chatin and a third driver whose identity has not yet been revealed.

The contingent of reservists therefore increases to seven cars with, in order, the No. 217 Dallara P41 of APM Monaco Team KCMG (LM P2), the No. 488 Ferrari 55 GTE of Spirit of Race (GTE Am), the Dallara P217 n°49 of High Class Racing (LM P2), the Oreca 07 n°24 of Repsol Racing Engineering (LM P2), the Ferrari 488 GTE n°62 of Team Corsa (GTE Am), the No. 488 Ferrari 83 GTE of Krohn Racing (GTE Am) and the No. 30 Riley Mk.42 of Brian Alder (LM P2).
