Le Mans – The Corvette 63 forfeits

The starting grid of 24 Hours of Le Mans 2015 will only feature 55 cars this Saturday. Corvette Racing forced to retire Antonio Garcia's Corvette C7.R – Ryan Briscoe – Jan Magnussen, following the latter's accident during the second qualifying session held early Thursday evening.

A mechanical problem caused the Dane to go off the track after the Pont corner, hitting the wall twice. Although Magnussen emerged from the accident unscathed, the C7.R suffered serious damage which could not be repaired. The manufacturer curiously did not have a replacement chassis, the package became inevitable.
