Le Mans – Royal line-up for the 2015 edition

The Automobile Club de l’Ouest has finalized the list of 56 entrants who will compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans next June 13 and 14 in Sarthe, third round of the World Championship WEC 2015. In LM P1, it was obviously Nissan which was the center of attention at the press conference held today.

The Japanese brand, which revealed his GT-R LM Nismo on the sidelines of the Superbowl last weekend, will line up three copies of its prototype. In addition to Spanish Marc Gene, already confirmed, we will find in the Nissan clan, and as we have been announcing it for several weeks in the columns of AUTOhebdo, French Olivier Pl, the British Harry tincknell (both of which will also be aligned across the WEC) and the Japanese Tsugio Matsuda, reigning Super GT champion alongside Italian Ronnie Quintarelli who will only take part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

On the side of Toyota et du tenant du titre Audi pas de surprises, les deux équipes ayant déjà annoncé leurs équipages, avec la présence chez les champions du monde en titre du Japonais Kazuki Nakajima on n°1 with the duo Buemi ? Davidson. At the brand with the rings, in addition to the trio Fässler – Tréluyer – Lotterer on the No. 7, Oliver Jarvis will be aligned with Loïc duval et Lucas di Grassi sur la n°8. René Rast évoluera quant à lui avec Filipe Albuquerque et Marco Bonanomi sur la troisième R18 e-tron quattro n°9. C’est chez Porsche que l’on trouve la nouveauté. Nico Hulkenberg had already been confirmed at the wheel of the third 919 Hybrid No. 19 in Sarthe and will be joined by the Briton Nick Tandy and the New Zealander Earl Bamber, the other two crews having not evolved. At ByKolles, formerly known as Team Lotus LM P, we will find on the CLM P1/01, while Rebellion Racing, which will include the AER engine in its R-One (see Ah n°1997), confirmed Nicolas Cheers and Dominik Kraihamer.

In LM P2, Signatech-Alpine (see Ah n°1997) will once again be at the rendezvous of the Le Mans double clock tower, in addition to its commitment in the World Championship ofEndurance. The A450b-Nissan present at Le Mans will be entrusted to the French duo Paul-Loup Chatin? Nelson Panciatici and Vincent Capillaire. THE Team SARD-Morand will enter two Morgans, while the Ligier JS P2s will be numerous in Sarthe with six examples, including two for G-Drive Racing, one for Oak Racing and one for Oak Racing Team Asia. Krohn Racing and the Algarve Pro Team will be the last two teams to field the Onroak prototype.

No surprises in GTE Pro, where Gianmaria Bruni and Toni Vilander, entered year-round in WEC, will be the bridgeheads of the stable AF Corsica on the Ferrari 458 Italia n°51. James Calado and Davide Rigon will drive the #71. Faced with the Italians, Porsche will put two 911 RSRs on the track for the crews Lietz? Christensen – Bergmeister et Makowiecki? Pintail – Henzler. Aston Martin will trust the Nygaard-Sørensen-N crews. Thiim and Mücke-Turner. Fernando Rees has been confirmed for the third Vantage. The Corvette Racing team will be represented by the two C7.Rs of Gavin-Milner-J. Taylor and Garcia-J. Magnussen-Briscoe.

To finish in GTE Am, AF Corse will line up the French François Perrodo and Emmanuel Collard, with the Portuguese Rui Aguas. As we indicated in the n°1997 of AUTOhebdo, the Val de Vienne Larbre Compétition team will indeed be present with a Corvette C7.R for the duo Roda? Ruberti. A reserve list of seven cars has been constituted, and the registered cars will be authorized to compete in the event of withdrawal, following the order established on this list.
