Could we see a new competitor in the premier category in prototype at the next 24 Hours of Le Mans (21-22 août) ? Si Toyota et Glickenhaus seront les seules marques à engager une voiture répondant au nouveau règlement Hypercar, Alpine will be there with a non-hybrid LM P1, and DragonSpeed could join the duo.
Indeed, Elton Julian's team published a tweet this Tuesday, evoking a request to be on the waiting list for the Sarthe double clock tour for the BR1 – Gibson, non-hybrid LM P1, last seen in 2019.
The revelation of the entry list on March 9 had not, however, provided a list of potential substitutes. In the event of withdrawal of one or other of the cars already registered, the BR1 could then potentially appear at the start.
WHAT IF?….We got this girl back together and applied for a reserve entry at @ 24hoursoflemans @Glickenhaus @TGR_WEC @SignatechAlpine @gibsontech1 @Michelin_Sport @FIAWEC #oneteamonedream @fillon_pierre pic.twitter.com/I2nhe5qXlV

The American structure must already start the event in LM P2 with an Oreca 07 for the Montoya – Hedman – Hanley trio.
