Le Mans – Sébastien Loeb in the shoes of Team Manager

In 2005, Sébastien Loeb had taken part in the famous Le Mans double clock tour with Pescarolo Sport. Nine years later, it is with the hat of Team Manager that the nine-time world rally champion will return to the circuit of 24 Hours of Le Mans.  “This role is new for me at Le Mans, but the team is well established in the way it operates. I will try to bring my experience of racing, with a slightly more outside point of view, and to submit some ideas or avenues of work as I can do as a driver. It will also be an opportunity to experience the 24 Hours differently and, if timing permits, to enjoy a little more of the surroundings and the atmosphere in general. »

Concerning the objectives of the Oreca 03R which will be entrusted to Jan Charouz, Vincent Capillaire and René Rast, restraint is essential for the Citröen driver in the WTCC. “This is our first participation so the goal is to go to the end and gain as much experience as possible for the team. It is precisely a race where experience can make the difference and the mission will, logically, not be easy to accomplish. It is a very specific test and you must be prepared accordingly. Every stop counts. Technically and humanly, everything must be perfectly adjusted to hope to achieve a great performance. The mechanical precision and cohesion between the men make the challenge very interesting. »

Loeb Racing set the eighth fastest time in LM P2 during the Test Day on June 1st.
