Le Mans – Thiriet by TDS Racing relies on Maxime Martin and Ludovic Badey

Second in the LMP2 category in 2012, the Thiriet by TDS Racing sets out once again to conquer the 24 Hours of Le Mans This year. If it is registered in ELMS the rest of the season with Pierre Thiriet and the Swiss Mathias Beche, the latter will defend the colors of Rebellion racing during the Le Mans classic. The French team therefore had to find a replacement and a reinforcement driver before tackling the double round of the clock at Sarthe. It was ultimately the official BMW driver, Maxime Martin, and Ludovic Badey who were selected.

The first already has a wealth of experience in Endurance. Aged 27, this Belgian has to his credit 4 victories in the FIA GT1 World Championship, a class victory at the 24 Hours of Spa in 2009 as well as a vice champion title in the Blancpain Endurance Series. This will not be a first for him since he has already participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans twice in the previous two years. “I’m delighted to be able to do Le Mans again in a prototype! This will be my third time! », explains the main person concerned. “I am also very happy to be able to join the Thiriet by TDS Racing team. I often fought against them but I never had the pleasure of joining this team. I can't wait to discover this team which is collecting good results. The 24 Hours of Le Mans is one of the greatest and legendary races in the world. I will be able to fight with a good car in an extremely busy and tough category. The team finished second last year and that motivates me even more. I'm going to give my best to get first place next June! »

For its third driver, the team was looking for someone who combines “speed, wisdom and experience” and set his sights on Ludovic Badey, who was the first driver to take part in a car race with the team! “With last year's result, it's a team that people want! I have confidence in the team because I know them well, they perform well. I know the car will be good and reliable over 24 hours. As for the crew, it is homogeneous with easy-going teammates. At Le Mans, there are so many pitfalls, we will try to get through it and we will see in the end. I am convinced that we can achieve a very good result! » comments the Lyonnais for his part.

The two men will meet Pierre Thiriet to take their first laps with the No. 03 Oreca 46-Nissan during the Test sessions for the 24 Hours of Le Mans where 61 cars are expected?
