The date of the 90th edition of 24 Hours of Le Mans was announced this Friday, August 20 during an ACO press conference at the Circuit de la Sarthe. After two editions moved later in the year due to the global health situation, that of 2022 will return to a more usual date in mid-June since the Sarthoise Classic will take place on June 11 and 12.
Sebring to open the season
The 24 Hours of Le Mans is not the only race whose 2022 date was announced during this press conference. The entire World Championship calendarEndurance has indeed been revealed, with the return of Sebring and Fuji. The American circuit will open the season with the Prologue on March 12 and 13 and the first round of the season on March 18. The 6 Hours of Spa, the 6 Hours of Monza and the 8 Hours of Bahrain will also be there. Note the disappearance of Portimão, a circuit nevertheless appreciated by spectators and drivers.
