The 62 entrants for the 24 2020 Hours of Le Mans known

Like every year, there are some disappointed people. Because if theEndurance was in better shape, its flagship event still attracts as much. And like last year, there will be 62 cars on the entry list, hoping that there will also be 62 at the start (which would constitute a record) since last year, the Porsche 911 RSR No. 99 of Dempsey-Proton Racing lined up for Tracy Krohn-Niclas Jönsson-Patrick Long was forced to withdraw after an accident during free practice.

The Enso CLM P1/01-Gibson of the ByKolles Racing Team being only second reserve, there will only be six LM P1s at the start, namely two Toyota TS050 Hybrid, and as many Rebellion R13-Gibson and Ginetta G60 LT P1-AER.

Unsurprisingly, the LM P2 category is the most extensive, with 24 cars but above all… four chassis manufacturers, since Rick Ware Racing has decided to enter its Riley Mk.30. Note the presence of the Oreca 07 of the Richard Mille Racing Team entrusted to Katherine Legge-Tatiana Calderon-Sophia Flörsch, the first appearance of the Supercars champion Shane van Gisbergen in the Sarthe in the Ligier JS P217 of Eurasia Motorsport and that of the Carlin team, Asian vice-champion Le Mans Series 2019-2020 and which is part of the world references of the car.

Eleven GTE Pro are expected with, as we announced, the presence of a Ferrari 488 GTE Evo fielded by Risi Competizione and at the wheel of which we will notably find Olivier Pla and Sébastien Bourdais.

Finally, there will be 20 cars in GTE Am. The only surprise comes from the presence on the entry list of a Ferrari 488 GTE Evo fielded by GEAR Racing (for Girl Empowerment Around Racing), which is none other than the entity having been at the origin of the entry of a Lamborghini for a 100% female crew at the last 24 Hours of Daytona. For the moment, only Christina Nielsen has been announced on this car. We will therefore initially have three trios entirely made up of women since the 488 GTE Evo n°85 from Iron Lynx (Gostner-Frey-Gatting) was also selected.

Finally, the ACO confirmed the presence in Garage 56 of an Oreca 07 registered by Association SRT41 dear to Frédéric Sausset and which will be entrusted to a crew with a disability.

The reservists are, in order:

Ferrari 488 GTE n°55 / Spirit of Race (GTE Am)

Enso CLM P1/01-Gibson n°4 / ByKolles Racing Team (LM P1)

Oreca 07-Gibson n°17 / IDEC Sport (LM P2)

Oreca 07-Gibson n°20 / High Class Racing (LM P2)

Ferrari 488 GTE n°60 / Iron Lynx (GTE Am)

Ligier JS P217-Gibson n°23 / Inter Europol Competition (LM P2)

Porsche 911 RSR n°89 / Team Project 1 (GTE Am)

Aston Martin Vantage AMR n°96 / D'Station Racing (GTE Am)
