Private LM P1s will have no fossil fuel limit per lap at Spa

In a week's time, the 6 Hours of Spa will be in full swing in the Ardennes, for the penultimate meeting of the 2018-2019 Super-Season. WEC.

On this occasion, the private LM P1s, where we find the Rebellion R13, BR1 – SMP Racing and DragonSpeed as well as the ENSO CLM P1/01 – By Kolles, will be able to count on a change in their favor of Technology Equivalence .

The FIA and the Automobile Club de l'Ouest have confirmed via the latest EoT table that these prototypes will not have limitation per turn regarding the use of fossil energy. Both Toyota TS050 Hybrid, on the other hand, will always have to deal with a limit, set at 71,3 MJ / revolution.

Also note that the LM P1s powered by an atmospheric unit (Rebellion Racing, DragonSpeed and ByKolles) will see their total mass increased from 818 to 824 kg.

GTE Pro switches to fuel flow meter

If its installation is only mentioned as recommended from the 6 Hours of Spa, from the Test Day of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 2), cars entering the GTE Pro category must be equipped with a FIA approved fuel flow meter.

The federation's decision stipulates that article 7.5.5 (Special case of LM P1 fuel flow meters) now applies to the GTE Pro category. This point of the regulation indicates, among other things, that there is “the right to take sensors to have them checked by an approved calibration laboratory at any time during the test. »
