The Porsche 911 and Ford GT weighed down with the latest BoP

After the amazing turn of Gianmaria Bruni (Porsche 911 RSR n°91) in Q1 on Wednesday 24 Hours of Le Mans, which had relegated the closest car to 1″5 (thanks in particular to constant aspiration throughout its lap) questions arose about the possibility of seeing the German cars “braked” in preparation for the race, which will begin tomorrow in Sarthe.

The Weissach GTs will finally be weighed down with the new version of the Performance Balance published this Friday evening on the eve of the start. The 911 RSR will take 10 kg on the scale (at 1269 kg), but will not be the only ones to be penalized since the Ford GT will take 8 kg to reach 1275 kg.

On the other hand, the Aston Martin, BMW and Corvette will be lighter, with ten kilos less for the Vantage (1258 kg) and M8 (1271 kg), while the C7.R will lose 5 kg to reach 1249 kg. The Vantage will also benefit from an improved boost.

The Ferrari 488 GTE will see their tank increase by one liter. Cars must complete 11 laps in their first stint, and 13 in their last stint, with the number of laps in other stints peaking at 14.

In GTE Am, the Aston Martin will lose 10 kg, while the Porsche 911 RSR will gain 10 kg. The first stint in the category cannot last more than twelve laps.
