The Toyota TS050 Hybrid weighed down for the Prologue

A little over a month after the 24 Hours of Le Mans et la nouvelle victoire de Toyota, the competitors of WEC will return to the track next week in Catalonia for the Prologue of the 2019-2020 season.

A Prologue which will see the Toyota TS050 Hybrid gain mass, according to the latest Technology Equivalence table unveiled by the FIA and the ACO. The two hybrid prototypes will weigh 918 kg on the scale, or 14 kg more than at Spa last May, the last classic round of the championship outside the double clock tower at Le Mans.

No change in total mass for the non-hybrid LM P1 prototypes (824 kg for the atmospherics and 833 for the turbos), nor with regard to fuel flow, with 115 kg/h for the non-hybrid prototypes, when Toyotas will be able to count on 80 kg/h.

It remains to determine the tank capacity for the German.

In GTE Am, the Porsche 911, Ferrari 488 and Aston Martin Vantage all gain 10 kg, with the Ferrari remaining the most massive at 1290 kg. The Porsche loses 0,4 mm of flange (to 30,2 mm), and the tank capacities have been reduced for the three cars (- 3 liters for the Aston and the Porsche to 98 liters, and - 2 liters for the Ferrari at 89 liters).

The Ferrari and Aston Martin also lose turbo pressure.
